Great Big Walk for Herts
We are taking part in the Great Big Walk for Herts on Saturday 30 September 2023, meeting around 10am in Bishop’s Stortford, and finishing at the Beehive pub in Hare Street. Join our team to help raise money for children in Hertfordshire.
My story
Grove Cottage, based in Bishop's Stortford, provides social and educational activities for people of all ages with learning disabilities or specialised additional needs: to develop their potential, avoid social isolation by supporting lifelong friendships and to provide respite for their families.
We need almost £500,000 each year to keep supporting our members and providing crucial respite for their families. Without the help of the local community, this would not be possible and we are so grateful to all those who support us.
On Saturday 30th September we will be one of 12 charities taking part in the Great Big Walk for Herts. Each charity will walk a leg of the 180 mile circuit of the Hertfordshire Way on the day to raise funds for their cause and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of this amazing initiative whilst fundraising to ensure we are able to continue running our services.
